IN HONOR OF

IN HONOR OF LARNCELL CHARLES HYMON,

who planted the seeds for Rooted in Politics. From an early age, he showed me the power of using my voice to advocate for and educate others. As I got older and grew interested in politics, he encouraged me to stay educated and constantly asked me about what was happening in the world. He had so much faith in me and my passion that he believed I would eventually run for political office and win! While I have chosen the path of journalism, I carry his lessons and his faith in me into everything I do. Though my grandfather is not in here in the physical to see the seeds he planted sprout, I hope to honor him by sharing this journey with all of you.
